How do I know which service page fits my situation?
Start with the closest category: couples, families and kids, individuals, or disorders and specialty counseling. If more than one applies, contact the office and describe the main problem you want help with first.
Do you only work with Christians?
TPC is a Christian counseling practice and can integrate faith, prayer, and biblical principles when desired. Clients with different beliefs are treated with respect, and therapy can be tailored to the client’s comfort level.
Can one spouse come if the other partner is not ready?
Yes. Many couples cases begin with one partner. Individual sessions can still clarify patterns, reduce escalation, and prepare the ground for better conversations.
What happens in the first session?
Your therapist will ask what brought you in, gather relevant background, discuss goals, and begin identifying a practical direction for care. You do not need to have everything perfectly organized before you come.
How long is each session?
A typical counseling session is 45-50 minutes unless a therapist recommends a different arrangement.
How often will I come to therapy?
Many clients begin weekly or every other week. The right rhythm depends on urgency, goals, availability, and the therapist’s recommendation.
How much does counseling cost?
Rates vary by therapist qualifications and any income-based discount that applies. Contact the office to find out the rate for the therapist who fits your situation.
Do you accept insurance?
TPC is an out-of-network provider. TPC does not bill insurance directly or accept insurance as payment, but clients may request a superbill to submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.
What should I ask my insurance company?
Ask whether your plan has out-of-network mental health benefits, what reimbursement rate applies, whether your deductible has been met, how many sessions are covered, and whether approval is required.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
TPC accepts HSA and FSA cards, but some HSA/FSA companies may not be compatible with the merchant service code. Check with your card provider if you are unsure.
Are online or phone sessions available?
Yes, care may be available in person, online, or by phone depending on therapist fit, client needs, and scheduling.
Is therapy confidential?
Confidentiality is central to therapy. Information is kept private according to applicable privacy laws, with legal and ethical exceptions such as risk of harm, abuse reporting, or court requirements.
