Our story
TPC's history includes long-term counseling service, radio teaching, and practical care for marriages, families, individuals, and churches across Southern California.
Dr. Peter Robbins and Dr. Kevin Downing founded Turning Point Counseling after graduate training at Fuller and early ministry work as youth pastors.
TPC became known across Southern California through Journey of the Heart on KKLA 99.5 FM.
The founders returned to radio to teach about conflict patterns in marriage and practical relationship repair.
TPC serves people through a broader therapist team, local counseling locations, and church partnerships.
Belief, vision, and mission
TPC exists to strengthen emotional, relational, and spiritual health inside and beyond the Christian community.
The work combines prevention, training, and care with a commitment to integrity, excellence, and accountability.
TPC therapists are committed to their faith and to helping clients pursue healing with clinical wisdom and spiritual sensitivity.
